Hell hath no fury for a woman scorned...

It takes a lot to control rage and anger, and i do not think that supressing them is the best way to deal with it.

There are some things which are simply out of my control and sadly, there is nothing i can do about it..not as of yet. In all due respect for all the wise, capable and dedicated teachers, i cannot fathom why are there still teachers who are simply incapable of performing a basic human action. To err is human? Next time when you get a misdiagnosis, accept that the doctor is human as well! But then again, some things are simply way to SIMPLE to make a mistake. it's like spelling your name wrongly!..and the fact that you are already 30+ yrs old!

Which..leads me to the actual body of this blog.

A teacher gave two of her students a physics/science project to work on for a competition. Despite the students initially feeling not up to doing it, they still did it...due to interest. The mid-year exam was just round the corner (and i know for those uni students out there, you might shrug this off as, "oh, it's just mid-year" - but exams are still exams, and it is your success and achievements in secondary school that have brought some of you to where you are now...). So, instead of focusing on their studies, these two students worked on the project. they spent hours putting their ideas to paper and then to the material. they searched for ideas, being creative and innovative...

Come the day of the competition, they did not win. Now, this is no big deal...but..what made me use this blog title is...they weren't even in the running for it! why? thanks to the *censored* teacher who gave them the wrong rules and regulation and criteria for the project. The judges made the decision solely on ONE criterion whereas the students had worked on OVERALL criteria.

Well then, what can i say...i know that the teacher will not feel any guilt because his/her actions have already implied that he/she don't really give a damn..

Imagine crushing the hopes of budding talents...of potential achievers....s**king up their time like a leech and drop off leaving the wound to bleed... To have competed and lost is acceptable. But not this case. How can the teacher have such negligence as to not find out the rules of the game and lead his/her students astray? besides the fact that little support was given.

To the students, yes, they might have learnt a lot throughout the process of working on the project...but it all boils down to the ambition that drove their spirits high - it is a competition, a locus to COMPETE.

Just wanna giv a humble opinion.

From the students' point of view, it was indeed an unfortunate event and it was very unfair to them too.

However, this 'stXpid' teacher might have no interest at all in handling such a big task (it may seem to b a small 1 for us but who knows the teacher has v little capability in dealing with it..), yet she was forced to 'lead'(i know she din..haha) the team (i dun think she has a choice to choose whether she wanna take the responsibility when she was given this task by him or her superior).

Well...after all...work is still work, we cant jz escape fr our responsibility by saying tat the task doesnt sound interesting to us.

The best solution here, in my opinion, is to let the students to read the rules n regulations on their own. I think it is oso the students' responsibility to read n understand the rules b4 they take part in the project.

Anyway, i had similar exp b4 so i can really understand how the students are feeling now.... I wish them good luck in their coming exams! :)

hmm..well.things like that ah..the teacher must be sacked man! imagine that happening to me. the teacher sure chia-lat one la! but heck, i can imagine how totally wrecked the 2 stddents are basically. not that i have actually experienced such sh*t before, nevertheless sh*t happens smtimes. to er is human as well. but then again, should'nt the teacher be given some benefit of the doubt too? mebe she sincerely misinterpreted? or mebe she is actually plain dungu? (oops)then lidat,i got nothing to say, except that her mis-management of the rules already serves her well in making her remember to read more cfully nx time la! how can she face her collegues if the know rite? boo sama dia! *btw, is one of ur 2 fellas ur bro? :P
