Weekend Doings..

When the weekend comes, it goes by quickly. And, you wish that it would come again real quick. Yet, when it arrives yet again, you do nothing...

Thinking of getting some form of work done after a 5 hour procrastination from the night before, NOTHING gets done...though you did stay up 3 hrs to stare at 2 pages worth of lecture notes.

So, you decide to sleep.

Yet, you get a kick -start to the morning , waking up at 9 AM~!
your stomach is bloated due to binge eating for as long as you can remember..and yet, you perk yourself up with a cuppa...
Then, comes along the daily dose of online news...
And only to find that family is online...
And so you decide to chat with them for a while since it has been quite some time since you last talked to them.
Then, you suddenly miss him. And wish that he was online..
You hang around...thinking that after wishing him good morning and a short hello, you could start off your day.
He does come online!...and you start chatting...

Then, you realise, it's time for lunch. You cook up something light and simple...yet, delicious. Only to trigger your appetite. *darn*
So, you start whipping up something more complicated...
Like Grilled Lamb Chop, a recipe from
www.kuali.com. Complete with rosemary and thyme and basil and majoram with worcester sauce, HP sauce, salt, pepper, paprika, white wine, yoghurt, butter, onions, garlic, chicken stock...

In between, the files are just right in front of you. And you do try to read them. Ok, so you've done 2 more pages. Great job!

Ah, grilling time...
you eat.
then, you feel quite uncomfy..and, you smell of oil..
so, you bathe.
then..you realise that you're feeling sleeping looking at the gloomy weather, feeling all clean and refreshed.
You can't really concentrate...
So, you...

camwhore!!!...without even combing your hair after the shower.

The distorted mirror in my messy room..
Hey, i tidied up soon after seeing this photo! =P

The bedside table which came 2 days ago..

and then, THIS.

...despite knowing very well that you're going to regret yet another weekend...and that you have the chance to play badminton in the evening or go for a Raya Open House.

darn...

and while posting all these...munching on choc biscuits.

*slaps forehead*...ouch.

Thank you..

..though you've told me not to say so anymore...

I am glad to have known friends...true friends, whom are very considerate and caring. Though less than a handful, they are the gems in my heart. It's very touching and emotional how they can actually remember the little things that you've said...and do those little things to cheer you up..and most of all, to make you happy. Though things might have changed over time, but those memories are etched..strongly, and deeply.

Better to have found and felt .. than had not found at all..

Afterall, it's those caring thoughts, simple things, and little details that would create everlasting heartfelt memories...

Weathering in the storm..

Warning: This post might sound harsh but it speaks and stands as valid as it can be.

Why do some people have such high level of evilness in them?

It's so agitating and frustrating to know that there is simply vested interest in some people whom you thought you can call a 'friend'. Sometimes, you'll find out that a person whom you think is friendly and apparently kind to you doesn't really mean that that person is interested in being your friend - a true friend that is. The false words, the lies, the tricks, the manipulations and the deceits that so-called friend can have the heart to pull on you... Would you consider a person whom to obtain a benefit, puts you in potential (legal) trouble a friend? Or someone who doesn't even bother about your feelings as long as he gets his message across, as direct as it can be? What about someone who twist the facts and lies to you? And never sharing any advice or information for fear that he might lose out on personal gain? What about someone who selects how well he treats from one friend to the other based on what he can personally gain from them?

Worse still, you have to put up a front and control your boiling blood from spilling over the cauldron because lest it happens, it's the people around you that might be scalded in the process and the cleaning up job is not easy.

How is it that they can actually overcome that conscience of agitating to the extreme towards a person who didn't even say a single mean word in the first place. Is it their upbringing? If so, what happened along the way?

Sometimes, I feel like lashing out at them. Why should I care when they don't?
One day, if the flame is played with..I won't guarantee a polite scene. The worse of me would be brought out.
Something like --> Why can't you just f*ck off? I didn't start, say or invite anything. So scram! I'm not interested in seeing your despicable face or hear your mutilated voice. You can burn in h*ll for all I care.

The Weekend

Ah, Shuly is adding yet another entry into this blogpage. Anyone wanna guess why?

I AM LAZY NOW.

There is tonnes of work to do. So much work is piling up. But yet, I would like make a point to do this entry. Perhaps not for myself (or to find for an excuse not to study), but to share my life with the close friends that are reading my blog. =)
p/s: mikey, hope you're not handling ur own health-case thingy. LoL...on a more caring note, do take care yea...

It has been quite some time since I last chatted with a whole bunch of good friends unlike last year. That said, I guess everyone is more busy and have their respective lives.

The weekend was ...nice. Thanks for coming. Though you might not have enjoyed badminton due to the lack of a competitive match, I appreciated you bearing with me cuz I enjoyed myself.

Now...back to work.

Notts next~ =)

Mamaking..

Colum-mates and I had a fantastic mamaking last night...

Delicious Paratha WONDERFULLY done by Miss Ragava together with her tantalizing curry...*lip-smacking!* and the company couldn't have been better...
we asked our 'father' where he got the parathas from..he told us that his friend gave it to him. Being piqued with curiosity, I took a look at the packaging of the Paratha...and upon reading, found out that it was a Produce of Malaysia! HaHa! You see, naan bread and pita bread are common here. but NOT paratha. This pack of parathas must have came from an oriental shop. Oh, speaking of ORIENTAL (i know i always divert...bear with me. hee hee), the other day, a BBC friend of mine was around for dinner and religion briefly arose when I asked him what he and his mates talk about when they just 'hang out'. (and yeah, their hang out junctions are the bars and pubs..) so, he mentioned religion being one of them. My friends and I 'classify' ourselves as MALAYSIAN chinese/indian. and in a regional basis, ASIAN. He was shocked. He said that to him, we (chinese) are classified as "ORIENTAL". "Asians" are meant for dark-skinned people like those from India (mind you, this has no conotations to racism). So, yeah. that's the oriental bit. It's not a big deal, but more of an eye-opener. Learning new things, gaining new knowledge and finding out something rather fascinating from a different angle. Life is beautiful...and "everyday is a school day"..

To continue....parathas: If I am not mistaken, there was a season last time back home where Parathas were a craze! I knew that my family bought them everytime we went shopping in Ipoh. hee hee..it was YUMMY!!!!!!....*_* How i miss eating parathas and roti canai..

tonight, i mamak-ed alone. it was Pot Noodles...I tell you, these gwai lo people..they really don't know how to produce instant noodles. I've tried a few brands...3 to be exact. and none..NONE lived up to the standard of 'decent'. All were just 'merely edible'. They were to the brink of inedible. serious.

So, today...although having a few more packets of instant noodles stashed away somewhere for emergency hunger pangs, i went to buy rice noodles..dried 'kway-teow' looking stuff from the ORIENTAL shop. haha! well, to be exact, it was the Japanese and Korean shop. I have procrastinated about going to the proper chinese shops for a million times now. It's far from where I live...and I am quite put off by the idea of walking all the way there alone...*psst: anyone willing to teman me for a lovely walk?* oh, now...what do i do with the rice noodles? HAHA!

Ah, and Miss Ragava...will try out apple crumble tomorrow if i don't literally CRUMBLE from all the tutorials and practicals that i have tomorrow. they are driving me up the insanity level! (ahaha..yeah, yeah, some of you out there would probably quip - since when were shuly sane!?)

Oh, and photos from a wonderful weekend...badminton on sat and a morning walk to give support to cardiff medics in Cardiff Marathon! haha..if you can't run with them, you walk with them to the run..=P good principles eh? *giggles* -apparently the photos can't be added to this entry. too big of an entry i suppose...another time yah..

I just wanna skip tomorrow....sleep tonight and wake up on a friday morning. *_*

I've got A LOT to do...A LOT to complete, a lot to catch up..all before the weekend arrives.
and what does Shu Li do when Shu Li has so much to do? Shu Li gets lazy and start blogging. *flips hands and arms up in the air and throws head to the back (thus emphasizing the laryngeal area and simultaneously pushing back the vessels - all ready for a cricothyroidotomy [CHOI!])

and one more thing:
~glad that someone had a good game and a great time. congrats..*smiles with glee*

Happenings..

What's happening....

1. Term has started, everyone is settling into their new accommodation..or at least most of them.

2. Unsatisfied students are moving out of their given accommodation - i have new housemates. (hee*hee..very tempted to quip something here, but since this is a public blog, i shouldn't...=P) hint: there are 5 guys and 5 girls..

3. Accommodation Office people are quite useless. They owe us 2 fridges! and a shower! and an extraction fan! and a freezer!

4. Ah, many complaints about the internet connection from friends now that they've settled in. Hehe, thankfully, none from my house thus far. ..and perhaps thanks too to "Daddy". =P...and his "Tiger"?? wakakakaka!

5. Other miscellineous stuff..something to the tunes of "something stupid", along the line of lesbo, Kiwi, green chillies, ..and now olives!; dwi i, my convertible which kinda cruised away..without me..*heartbroken*, 8 outrageous nicknames, 4 "Colum-ised" (read: baptised) "NuT PoTs" - Siu Tee, Nana, Ragu & Alaghi; and wonderful homies to boot.

*HUGZZZZZZZZZZ*

INTERNET!!!!!!!!

SHuly's BACCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The internet peeps came 2 days ago to fix up a connection at my house (student houses should really just provide internet!!!...and a washing machine!!!!). But, we never really did got things going...until yesterday. I was rather sad since I didn't have a wireless card and I expected my order to come in only next week. But.....IT CAME IN TODAY!!! and what a timing it was! I didn't have morning classes today and the postman came knocking on the door! Thankfully, I heard the knocks despite living in the back-most room! =D I guess I must have paid for the special next-day-delivery service. Either that, or the only method of delivery that this company had was that special delivery. So, I guess one-night's wait after installation is not too bad. It punctured a hole in my delicate linen pants though. And with this connection, I will have to fork out extra! but...well, i guess the good thing about it is I can now download stuff online!! ....... when I learn how to! Oh well, there goes some Sterlings invested into this quite-canggih piece of technology that my younger brother chose!!! Knowing him, he recommended the 108Mbps Wireless PC Card...padahal, the max speed that we have is 54Mbps!!!!..

i love you bro..
