As the second hand of the clock ticks.....

time is running out

shuly is burning out

finding a way to solve things ...out

realising that i'm reaching a dead end with no way ...out

having to tread a new path, a muddy and torturous one ...

all on my own...

i wish there could be someone who would support me through ...

but knowing that i can't wish for that..

what should i do?
who do i turn to?
how is it going to be?
where do i go from here?
when is it going to conclude?

at the end, i come to realise
i'm still all alone...

updated 1st Dec:

someone whom i conversed with but do not know the identity once extended this to me:

"Well done, and welcome to the ranks of the medical community! (extends hand in greeting) Best wishes for September/October, I'm sure you will have a brilliant time at medical school."

and also said:
"...might want to consider the north of England, Wales and some of the Scottish schools. Newcastle run a good medical course (rated 24/24 in the last TQA, friends there seem to be happy with it) and is quite an affordable city, for example (quite pretty too)."

"Shuly, I forgot to answer your question. I would choose Edinburgh merely because it's old and in a nice city (I asked why he'd choose edin over cardiff) The people I know at Cardiff med school certainly haven't had many complaints about the place."

these and quite a number more that i can quote.

till today, i wonder who you are..your identity was never revealed; yet, you were believable, to me at least. you knew your stuff and i highly regard your patience, willingness to share and your kindness.

bubbles..hilltops..mountains..stumps

ShuLy - a country BuMpKiN - who spread her wings to the skyscraping city - and has now landed somewhere in between...

What a day it has been!
I got up feeling all odd and weird (say, are those two synonyms? it would mean that i'm repeating myself then. Not good for vocab, but well, it gets the point across - or at least, I hope!) ..ah, back to the morning blues. Yeah, I woke up before my alarm went off. Thus feeling rather tiredly awake. Went for Welsh classes....which was pretty much alright - ignoring my laziness to revise and the upcoming exam. =(

Exactly after noon, I went to get my errands done. Task 1 marked. Task 2 - didn't have the patience to wait. In town, Task No. 3 had quite a disappointing conclusion. Task No 4 was done too though not fruitful. Oh, in between 3 and 4, it poured! Thankfully, not for long. either that or i took too long for task 4. Task 5 took up quite some time and half completed. Task 6: OVERdone!

I'm wondering if I should just buy what I want or to dwell upon it for ages and then buy. The difference is - Cost of a pound difference = 1 hour, and perhaps a little satisfaction.

On my way back, the weather was playing tricks on me again. But being a master of tricks (or so i wish i were), it didn't outplay me. Somehow, it would rain after I've entered the shop and stop when I step out. And mind you, i wasn't in there for hours longg kays!!..just for a few minutes..10 at most! Okay..then, i walked back. A gust of wind brought heavy rain droplets. I hasten my pace. Then, it stopped again. Came back, munched on a bag of crips..and went off for an appointment...

Stoped by at a shop while walking back..and while queuing up along the till, it started to POUR! gosh. ducks and geese, horses and cows! But then, after paying up, i stepped out of the shop unscathed by any water molecules! cool huh. i'm starting to feel like i'm in the Matrix!

And so, i trot-a-long back home..to a voice i longed to hear, a good meal, kitchen-chat interspersed with bursts of laughters and a yummi-licious dessert!

My meal of the day: Herbal Chiken Porridge. =) a.k.a BaByFooD~!!! *_*

ooh, ooh...and, i was asked if i was below....18!!! yes!!! 18!!! not even 21!!!! LOL. i looked like...*16*~! sweeeeeeeeettttt~!

Yes, it's saturday

and reason why i'm blogging away is because there's so much to do yet i simply feel like stoning. I have a housemate who looks forward to doing loads of things over the weekend..and he complains if he has nothing to do..despite the fact that he has been working from AM to PM on weekdays! As for me, I just feel like doing absolutely nothing. just to rest, relax and chill. But that said, perhaps it's because of this tranquility and stillness I'm experiencing that's making my life so dull..so dull to the extent of me stoning and degrading..and deteriorating.

There used to be so much life, vigour and zest...

~tracing my old steps...

Of a few similarities..puzzling thing mind and body is..the world yet to be discovered~
*shuly wants to go globetrotting..*

It's the Weekend!

Yes, this is going to be a jottings-of-the-day entree

Friday...*gasp* The weekend shadow creeps up as time passes by.

My friday has been academically unproductive.

Midnight:
- Chatting. apa lagi. LoL. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning. Like, until 4.45AM. =) I liked the voice I heard through my costly phone. =)

9.20AM:
oh noo...10:00AM class..rush rush~!
Class was horrible. Data handling. those who sat next to me would know why.

12.10pm:
*slaps forehead* horrible tutorial. Ever since I was aware of my surroundings, I had known that I am destined to be unlucky. Unlucky to be in this tutorial group (perhaps not), but definitely unlucky that those tutors were assigned to overlook my group.

1pm:
HOME!!! happie! I came home and opened my lappie straight away. Restarted it and got a movie running. Prior to that, threw in a couple of sausage puffs into the oven. Hehe, and guess wot, my first time 'burning' something since the term started! yippie! hehe, food was salvaged though. Thankfully, it was puffs. So, with a sharp knife in hand, a single stroke was all it took for me to slice the puffs and removed the burnt top. Twas my mistake. I was impatient. I used grill instead of oven. (My impatience resulted in another 'price to pay'. Read on..)

4:00pm:
After movie, eating and munching, I went off to meet G. It was at this hour that I realised that I had lost my umbrella. *sob*sob*sniff*sniff*. i really....*sigh*. I left it in the stupiak law building yesterday after Welsh classes. (#$%&! me and anything with those 3 letter arranged together have a bitter relationship. It is a known fact.) Argh. I came back complaining to Kangkung with his friend present. I didn't feel bitter at all despite eventually knowing that that friend was reading law. big deal*snorts* This is a true case of 'sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga' as that very same Thursday, I missed a very (read: VERY) important and crucial appointment. It was something that would have made me knock my head on the wall. OK, it did. And if that's not bad enough, I now realised that I missed the switching on of Cardiff Christmas Lights!!!!!!!! damn. I wanted to go as I did have quite a blast last year. It was sure to be packed, but that's the atmosphere that I would so love to experience again. Sigh*..and urgh. (If L was here, it would have been wonderful to see the lights and all..)
Okay, WINTER WONDERLAND is officially OPEN peeps!

7:00PM:
came back, cooked and ate. Ate too much cabbage. Now, why was I so greedy?!?! I was hungry..and I guess I was too lazy to cook meaty dishes. That said, serves me right for walloping up all my lamb stew for lunch, made yesterday, meant for dinner. Then, as usual, biscuit-ing came along. DO NOT buy Lidl's biscuits. Not only it is inedible, it is also indigestible (even the digestives!)..but the worse has yet to be told....it promotes reflux!!!!! *urgh*

10.30PM:
M asked if I had anything sinful stored up. (*aduih*..but, *hehe* as well..shows that i'm the person to go to for sinful/comfort food! =D) Anyway, that triggered me to make something for her. Wanted to make brownies..or crumble...but..wanted to be adventurous. Tried something new. *giggles* Yeah, I'm the type who likes to try out new stuff without perfecting the art..unless it's somehing that I find worth doing; and I should mention, I do like to perfect the art, if the simplified and modified version come out good. =) Whilst the 'sin' was in the oven, i scurried off to shower. the boiler had turned off..and the water, icy cold!!..but i had to bathe. Had a workout in the evening. Came out of the shower not feeling that cold due to exercise and moving about, but the numbness was felt. I'd say for certain that had my hair been slightly shorter it would have stood straight stiff from the roots!

1130pm:
Indulgence...!! impatience caused it to be a wee-bit darker than it should be though.. *giggles*

Midnight:
oopsies, i woke Master Sleek up from his slumber! *_* sowrie

Funny. Seems as though there's a limit of space in the blog's entry. anyway, these are the photos linked to above entry:

Yeapz, not looking too sinful afterall ;)

MMmmm...

A martian who's neat and always look fine, when dressed up, looks really fine and good.

It'll never go wrong with a pressed shirt, a tie and commanding slacks.

With a sleek trenchcoat to boot...!

Hitting the town

one empty, but a new one filled..to the brim!! *smiles gleefully*

I went to town today. *GRINS & SMILES*....primarily to get my addiction satisfied! =D

It was worth enduring the blustery weather (though i must add, there was much happiness and joy too. It's nice to be stepping out of the footprints you make from home to lectures~!)..with miniscule droplets of water just slightly larger than water vapour dancing in the air with the light wind...and cute puddles of water which don't seem too cute anymore if you accidently peppered your dainty shoes into them..
Pretty golden autumn leaves strewn along the pedestrian walkway but drenched by the rain. They are really very dreamy and romantic when the sun is up...sometimes, they reflect the morning sunshine with dew...but more often so, they simply captive you with their crispness.

Ah, if only i could take longer and more frequent walks like this...~

What do you do..

In the tunes of 'What do you do when you fall love'..

What do you do when you have an essay to write?
And you have not decided on the topic?
With 2 reports and lots of catch up...

You know you're gonna be dead meat,
trailing with your work..
Having an exam soon and you're busy next month..

Class starts at 9AM
and you need all the rest for a brand new day
And whatever time in between should be made full use...?

If you're me...
you'll....

- curl your hair
- take out your camera
- smile
- snap photos!

(i am so regretting this)

When you find yourself in some far off place
And it calls at you to rethink some things
You start to sense that slowly you're becoming someone else
And then you find yourself
When you make new friends
In a brand new town
And you start to think about settling down
The things that would've been lost on you
Are now clear as a bell
And you find yourself
And that's when you find yourself
When you go through life so sure of where you're heading
And you wind up lost and it's the best thing that could've happen
Cuz sometimes when you lose your way
It's really just as well
Because you find yourself..
And that's when you find yourself
When you meet the one you've been waiting for
And she's everything that you wanted more
You look at her and you finally start to live for someone else
And then you find yourself
And that's when you find yourself...
Cuz sometimes when you lose your way
It's really just as well
Because you find yourself
And that's when you find yourself

Drifting with the gentle breeze~

Words & Phrases..

Perhaps it seems as though I am making too many entries in a day or two...
But there is so much that I want to express..yet, I can't do it loud and clear here. Only through a certain perspective.

"Hey, don't you have to do this?"
"No. I don't. It's not something that I have to do...it's something that I want to"

"Where is your other half?"
"There, is my better half"

"It has been quite a day."
"That..is probably the only good thing that has happened all day."

"Aren't you studying in Cardiff University?"
(silently) "Yes. I am..but I'm wearing this hoodie because I miss him so much."

Sigh

Why is it that in these past 2 days, people have been messaging me over MSN Messenger, initiating chat, requesting that I take time off my neverending work to keep them company. (And that, I do.) But after a while, when they have something god-knows-what to do, they leave the conversation. Just.like.that. With "gtg, bye".

To the worst extreme, it seems as though I'm someone whom one can just ask for me to layan their boredom online and then run off when they have found something to do.

But I'm never going to say, "who do you think I am." I just don't have the heart to say that. And
perhaps it's true..in certain things, I am too nice.

Sometimes, it's really annoying; but more often, feelings are hurt.

Nottingham Games

It's 6am now...and I am having a class at 9 am. I didn't sleep the whole morning. Should I be worried? I think so...

Perhaps it's because I have had short sleeps during my journey back from Notts..and perhaps it is also due to the flow of emotions rushing thru me..

It has been quite a weekend..something that I certainly do hope to be able to do more frequent and for a longer time..

I was really anticipating for my trip there..the journey was not very pleasant though. I suffered from bus-sickness. I skipped lunch and had to force myself to eat some dinner.

I had a very pleasant surprise upon arrival....a good friend whom I thought wouldn't be there appeared!!! =D am really pleased that all of us could meet up. Thanks Vien, from the bottom of my heart for being so accommodating...it was indeed great to meet up with you..and catching up on times - though i think we could have done more and a better job!

I have also made a few new friends...and thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality and warmth (despite the freezing temperature). Thank you for such a wonderful time!

I didn't wander around a lot during the games. I was almost around the same area..for a very apparent reason, and the main one.=) congrats L~ ;)..and thank you.

The campus is rather lovely...saw this pretty little garden..

Sunglow~

note: this post of mine is rather sloppy compared to the actual feeling..it has to be cuz of the time of entry.

I sure do miss badminton..if only i could play on a somewhat higher level...
