Note that I used a plural title.
It's not easy being a student. It's not easy being a medical student. Beyond that, I cannot fathom. My exams are over, the results have been announced. I should be glad that I can move on. However, medicine is not simply about moving on. All of us pray so hard, SO HARD, that we can pass; and that a mere pass would be a miracle. Yet, a pass is usually insufficient if you want to thrive in this world. Amazingly, some of us did very well. My congratulations to all my friends who did splendid.
Being a 'student doctor' does take a lot from you. It's physically, mentally and emotionally sapping. Like a leech sucking the blood out of you. If you enjoy the highs of this, then give yourself a pat on the back. You're in the right job!
It's financially difficult being a student, and I think being a medical student pushes that constraint even more. Whilst fellow friends in other courses are doing an average of 8-10 hours of lectures per week, you're doing those hours, PER DAY. There is not a chance to gain working experience unless you can juggle your time very well and be smart about stuff. So, kudos to those who worked throughout their medical course! I spend money from travels and food consumed in the hospital, but not being able to earn it. True, that I am here for studying, but learning can come in many shapes and sizes, and ways. It's just slightly 'annoying' that others are able to work and have a different aspect to life than just studying.
So, what is it that I do since I don't study and complain about not having the time to work? I watch online shows. =.="
Currently, I have to juggle quite a bit with two small hands. I think I like what I am doing now, but my spirits are a little low. I am not too sure why. Perhaps it is the people I am around, perhaps I am not in the comfort of my family and friends, or perhaps the gloomy weather and long hours have just put me off my game.
It's all about finding myself, discovering who I am and becoming, and making the cast for who I want to be in future. I think the process has begun. I hope it doesn't stop.
To all who are having their exams, good luck! To those who have completed, congrats! Whether you have passed is another story, you've made it through. That itself is an accomplishment - at least that's the case for medicine. Enjoy your summer holidays!
Randomly, I love surgery. Don't you?

A few moments later..
Oh wow. I have not put up an entry for almost 2 weeks!
Shall I update you with what has been going on? YES oh YES! :D
First of all, since returning from where L is, I immediately started on my SSC. This required me to settle in into it and get the tempo. I have yet to form a beat sadly. All I want to do now is enjoy life and be hedonistic about it!
Well, this bank holiday weekend has been fantastic! The days creeping up to it was great too. A very good learning experience and responsibility. I have not had such a pleasing responsibility for a very very very long time, and boy am I glad I took it up and did my best. :)
It was the weekend of Miss G's birthday! And we celebrated it 'kau-kau'! We discussed about what we were going to do, plan for contingencies, made arrangements, bookings, and even one of us spoke to the above apparently! haha! Then, a few of us went shopping around midnight to get the ingredients and came back around 1:00 AM to marinade the theme for Saturday's outing = BBQ PICNIC.
When BBC weather forecast gave bad news, plans swiftly changed and we started prepping the food. Two whole crates of food went into the car (Thanks LS) and we went to this park near Roath, and had helluva time! Food was aplenty and I had my first "proper" footie game!!! Awesome. It does not look as easy as it seems on telly! When I saw my bf and his friends playing, I thought they didn't looked too pro..but oopsies, now I know how HARD it is to play like what you see on the sports channel!
We had a couple hours of eating and a couple hours of games. I was really tired because of shopping the night before and I woke up quite early on Saturday too. So with all the preparations, eating and playing, I was rather tired by late evening. BUT it wasn't the end of the day yet! We had an awesome time later that night of Counterstriking. And, then came the candle-blowing around midnight....and then it was charades time. Oh wow.
The next day, we went bowling..which I thought it was rather costly, but then again, it's my first time anyway and it was a weekend afterall. So it's okay. Had quite a good time too. I got a STRIKE on the FIRST bowl!!!! After..err...8 years of not playing?!?!? I actually got a STRIKE!!! And the second was a clean ..sumthing, i.e I dropped all the pins! Oh wow. What a start. Sadly, it went downhill from there. Haha. Only got 4 strikes in total of 2 games I think.
We adjourned for dinner at Strada, an Italian restaurant by the Bay. I was hesitant over eating Italian food in UK. This is because I have been to Italy and was totally bowled over with the pasta there. It was freaking wonderful! Even the pasta cooked by the HOSTEL for FREE was superbly unspeakably out of the world! Yesterday, however, was a bit of a let down. The seafood dishes were finished barely before dinner order begun and there were not many pasta dishes on the menu. I'm a pasta-goer, especially to 'judge' an Italian eatery. The mains was a bit of a let-down, but the dessert was good.
Birthday cake time again..and I think Miss G loved it! haha. We knew it was gonna be oh-so-cool to get her what she got! :D
None other than a MANCHESTER UTD CAKE!! And furthermore, they won the Champs League a couple days before! LoL. I think that makes up for the 'mistake' I made in the previous entry! No longer a mistake now eh *wink* ;)
Ah..it was a good time. :) Wish we do this more often. Smaller scale, but equally fun.
Blasting!!!!
xoxo
TO MISS G, I HOPE YOU HAD A TERRIFIC BIRTHDAY AND MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE! TO A GREAT YEAR AHEAD, CHEERS!

May the 14th
Oh wow. I can't believe how quickly time flies. It will be a new phase of life for me from this day onwards. A new phase yet not really feeling its brandish; the old one still looms. Why? I'll tell you in a bit.
Last week was an amazing week, for the better and the worse. I went up to see L. :) He was in the midst of a rotation change and had an assessment at the end of that week. I could sense how he has been affected by stress from all aspects - the course, friends and himself. I wish I could do more for that and I did try my best. It wasn't all blissful unfortunately, and I wish those times had not happened. However, I hope that what came out of everything were for the better. I wish to cherish the good times.
I had to chance to eat so many nice food! Mr. P cooked a very nice Malaysian meal for me (or so I would like to think :P). It was G-G's birthday and so Mr P baked a wonderful cake too! I can't help but to chuckle each time I remember THAT candle! Also ate claypot rice which didn't really tasted like it, but the chinese sausage was nice even though the waxed duck wasn't so. Argh, I wish I had taken photos!
I've saved the best for the last....L made fantastic kolo mee :) and helped me with the fish and lamb chops. hehe. Everything he did was nice and lovely *muaks*
I brought my camera up but did not take photos at all. What a silly girl I am. We threw fake oranges into a potty and oh, we built Mr. Skeleton (which L has yet to name him - yes, it's a him because the pelvic structure looks like one from the XY chromosome gender) at 1..or 2 AM. I 'gave life' to Mr Skelly by giving him an eyeball. :D
L organised a BBQ too with his housemates and a couple of friends. It was slightly 'chore-like' that I felt after a while of shopping, but I am glad he did it...because I know that we had fun, and L is the type who likes to see others have fun. Oh, and Man Utd won the Premiership title too..so that was icing on the cake. We (the house) watched the 'match of the day' programme later that night. I think we played Counter Strike that night too! Or was it the day before? Twas fun anyway!
New phase - i've passed my exams!!!!
Brandishing - don't know why. :S

Sue..oh Sue.
No, it's not referring to the name of a person..
Rather, SUE - to seek justice or right from (a person) by legal process; specifically : to bring an action against.
The lawyers in Malaysia must be having a field day. Those who just graduated, or in the practice for the past couple of years must be having a time of their lives! And those who are already partners must be making quite something for themselves.
Yeah, it seems like a trend these days back home to sue-sue-sue. =D What a laugh. The law is there for lawyers to make money. Yet, I wonder if justice is as just. Even if it is, money is being made in the process. So kudos to aspiring lawyers, those reading law, and those practising law.
Though I have full respect of how "vital" and "crucial" the law/justice system is, the go-abouts seem to be a theme park to me; with merry-go-rounds, ferris wheel, shoot-the-duckie, clowns, balloon twisters..etc.
Why should one take up law? To save their own arse. :)

a week from now
Delayed post:
7th May; noon (12PM)
I am currently in a train feeling slightly giddy. The latter was due to a game which I have just discovered on my laptop! Not quite an easy one, but it is quite chic’! it was to do with assembling the right colour and design for a multiple tier cake at a bakery. Haha!
I was meant to kill time by placing an entry into my blog. So, after an hour of that girly game, here I am! We have reached Birmingham and it is surprisingly quiet! That said, it is a Wednesday afterall. If I do stop over here, it is usually a Friday or a Sunday – peak hours for the weekend. Oh, I now see quite a number of people coming up. Still quiet anyhow. Birmingham and Manchester to me, goes a long way. It somehow brings up this weird melancholic feeling. The first 2 places in UK that I visited. Now, my thoughts are fleeting toward Li Vyen – and I know this hot mama reads my blog!!!!! I can’t thank her enough… and I miss her!!!!!!!!!
Gosh, I do miss my friends. I was quite eager to leave Cardiff as I needed a break and things to do. However, as I paced myself towards the bus stop this morning, I felt a little ‘sayu’ leaving as well. I might have blogged about this before, but I guess it doesn’t really matter if I write about the same thing again. I do appreciate the friends I have here very much. Don’t know what I’ll do without them. They are there for support and their presence itself makes a difference. Haha, even a simple message that is left on this blog makes a huge difference to my day. Am I that pathetic as to have nothing much going on in my life? I hope not! I would like to think that I simply appreciate the slight time friends give..
At the moment, I am wishing that a miracle happens. I wish that as long as we acknowledge our mistakes, things would all be better. Yet, truth be said, if a mistake is made, it stays there. Exams are a good example. You know you’ve made mistakes and you’ve learnt from them, but yet, you’re still marked down and possibly having to resit. Haha. One very good example why acknowledging your mistakes and being sorry doesn’t really make things better.
Sigh sigh. I’m scared of the results. I don’t want to face the future. I wish things can be simple and easy.

wanna do something!!
gosh..its difficult to predict the future. Its easy to plan, but difficult to get the act together. Now, I am sighing over the fact that I would like to be somewhere else where a loved one is at. And silly me for being like BBC's weather forecast; which is mostly incorrect!
Now, what should I do? I've watched V for Vendetta again!.. Bucket List was okay.
IRON MAN was not too bad. quite cool in a way. 27 dresses was a leisure-able chick flick.
Should I read?
Which one?
MOST IMPORTANTLY, does anyone have any ideas on what I can do or where I can go in the coming months???!??
